Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how MusicTogether ("we", "our", or "the App") handles information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

Information We Collect

Account Credentials

To use the App, you must authenticate with your VK (VKontakte) account. During authentication, your VK credentials are transmitted directly to VK servers via their API. We do not store your VK password on the device or on any external server. An authentication token received from VK is stored locally on your device to maintain your session.

Locally Stored Data

The App stores the following data exclusively on your device (local storage):

• Music library — metadata of your VK music tracks (title, artist, album, duration)
• Playlists — your playlists and their contents
• Playback queue — current and recent playback queue
• Search history — your in-app search queries
• Listening history — tracks you have listened to
• App settings — your preferences (e.g., theme, playback settings)

This data is not transmitted to any third-party servers and is not accessible to us.

Music Content

The App streams music content from VK servers. Cached audio files are stored locally on your device for playback purposes only.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect analytics or usage statistics
• We do not use advertising SDKs or tracking technologies
• We do not collect crash reports or diagnostics
• We do not collect your location, contacts, camera, microphone, or any other sensor data
• We do not have our own servers or backend — the App communicates only with VK API

Third-Party Services

The App interacts with the following third-party service:

• VK (VKontakte) — for user authentication and accessing your music library. Your use of VK is subject to VK's Privacy Policy.

Data Storage and Security

All user data is stored locally on your device using encrypted storage mechanisms provided by the Android platform. No data is transmitted to external servers other than VK API for authentication and music streaming purposes.

Data Retention and Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• You can clear all App data at any time through your device's Settings → Apps → MusicTogether → Clear Data
• Uninstalling the App will remove all locally stored data
• We do not retain any of your data on external servers

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
